From April 29th to May 28th, I will have the pleasure of exhibiting some of my pieces as part of a group show in Vevey. Six artists sharing a gallery — a wonderful opportunity to meet people and show one's work.
After a weekend "deep in plaster", I spent a day of genuine relaxation creating figures in direct wax at Aline's studio.
Now is the time to work the wax models in preparation for casting them as bronzes.
A new step in the studio: mould-taking with silicone and plaster.
A good resolution to keep this new year (even though we are already mid-February): I will try to bring a little more life to this blog by sharing a few notes and/or photos each week.
After many months of reflection, work, waiting and trips back to the foundry, I have finally been able to bring "Zone sensible" home. Full of tenderness and sensuality, she expresses with simplicity the welcome of a gentle caress.
In preparation for a mould-making course I will be attending, I have sculpted in clay the last two women of the series. Mould-taking in mid-June, casting in 2016
Back to the foundry for a day of casting. Rediscovering those smells, that atmosphere — it is invigorating.
After a few months off, the studio is coming back to life.
