A wonderful article for an exhibition I truly cherish.
I can finally let you know that I have been invited to exhibit in Marly for the entire month of October, from 29 September to 3 November. I will be showing my sculptures alongside the paintings of Marie-France Krähenbühl. I will have the pleasure of presenting new pieces that are still at the foundry
Invited to take part in this artist showcase, I am present in Fribourg for a few days, until 12 July. I chose to exhibit my series of 5 women "Ouverture" and was surprised to see it awarded the silver medal in sculpture. 50 artists represented, 9 nations. New contacts and a window open onto Europe and Brazil. A recognition of the work that feels truly gratifying. Thank you to everyone.
7–12 July 2018 Salon International d'Art 50 artists – painting – sculpture – photography – 9 different countries – Albania – Angola – Brazil – Italy – Luxembourg – Norway – Portugal – Russia – Switzerland
After months of work, pauses, reflection, resuming... the torso has finally come out of the foundry. It is powerful — as some say, "it's striking". I think it will be either loved or hated, but the emotion will be there. As far as I am concerned, I am happy with the result.
Pascal Rinaldi is a singer-songwriter I have followed since his very beginnings. And if his goatee has turned salt and pepper, that is not the only sign of time passing. His songs have "aged well", gaining in maturity, both in terms of lyrics and music. So... a helping hand for a friend To follow the link, click here.
Over these past few months, warm and cosy in my little studio, I have been working on my series of three pairs of hands. In this short slideshow you will be able to see the evolution of a sculpture, from clay to wax ready to leave for the foundry. Many hours of work and concentration to achieve a result I am satisfied with. And this is only the beginning.
Studio work continues in full swing — every stage in the creation of a bronze is magical.
Manuela Thurre, Annemarie Mühlheim-Solliard and I have chosen to share our perspectives on life, for the duration of a week-long exhibition. Photographs, paintings and sculptures will enter into dialogue — simply to share our sensibilities and emotions with you.
